As an affiliate of HR/IR Satellite you gain the advantage of being able to list all of our services, even if you are not an expert in some of them. Through the affiliate network, you can offer your clients any of the services performed by other satellites and then simply negotiate a contract for them to perform the service instead of you. For example: if you are an expert in creating human resource policy manuals but have no experience or interest in collective bargaining, there may be another satellite consultant who has never created a policy manual but is very effective at the bargaining table. In this fashion, both consultants could offer both services to their own clients but make an agreement to “share” their areas of expertise. How profits of the two services are divided is completely determined by the consultants and their collaborative agreement. When another Satellite Affiliate Consultant performs a service for your clients, they do so as a subcontractor for your Satellite. They are representative of your Satellite instead of their own. In this fashion, you broaden your service offerings while protecting your client base. Having someone else perform a particular service for your satellite actually reinforces your client relationship instead of harming it.
